Weirdest F'n Dream Ever...SERIOUSLY!

Comments

darn it! It was my turn to be on the left!

my recurring nightmare is that it's our wedding day, and things aren't prepared!

I actually was going to tell you, then I figured nah...
And, it isn't recurring, it was just a one-time thing
I know. so far. ; )
One realistic dream I had was when I went to bed with the intentions of getting up early to write an essay. I then kept dreaming about writing the essay, so I woke up to my alarm really wishing that the dream was real, but I knew it wasn't.

In a not so realistic dream one time I tried to choke someone. That one REALLY disturbed me.
Someone really must have really made you mad...lol.

Being in IT, I started having "Code Dreams" in college. I'd go to bed with a seemingly impossible problem and I'd dream my way through it. Great for getting stuff done, extremely terrible for getting sleep. I made a complete 180* in college due to "code dreams"; I had a COBOL class that I just could not figure out any of the solutions to any of the labs; I went home one night, dreamt about nothing but the lab and the next one. The next day I took register tape off of the cash register @ work and hand wrote the entire portion I was having trouble with (slow work day) and coded it that night; worked like a charm. I then coded the next one and over the next 3-4 days banged out 6 labs. I probably would've failed that class if not for that downright amazing display of software development prowess.

The phenomenon you are talking about is sometimes referred to as "Night Terrors". I've had this happen to me on a number of occasions. I had the same type of dream except the person was standing over me and I couldn't do anything. I've also had the dreams where I'm trying to run but my legs are like cement and you can't move.

When you go to sleep, there is usually a disconnect between your physical body and your brain. If we didn't, then we wouldn't get any rest. In your dreams you're usually talking, walking, etc. If your body actually tried to do these things, you would probably injure yourself since you aren't truly conscious. In a "Night Terror" situation, the dream is very vivid and a certain portion of your brain wakes up. Because there is a disconnect between mental and physical, you are mentally awake but physically asleep.

I know how you feel and those types of dreams suck. I always wake up and feel like a failure because I couldn't use my karate when I needed it. Once I calm down and remember it was just a dream, I feel better about it. A few times the physical connection turned back on during one of the dreams and I punched the Boss in the back of the head. Needless to say, she woke up and retaliated. That wasn't a good night...

Yea, I was dreaming up a haito right to the neck and then it was on like Donkey Kong.

I've been beaten like a gov't mule by Overboard. She's slapped me more times than I can count, she's kneed me in the back numerous times (and I'm not talking about incidental contact, I mean more like AJ's knee to the face style), she struck gold in the family jewels section and I swear once she even almost pushed me totally off the bed...all while "asleep"...hmmm,

Is Sherapova gonna have to choke a b*tch?!

/Obligatory

...I'm afraid I don't get the reference.
